Fabrication of High Performance Photodetectors & Solar Cells

High performance photodetectors and solar cells have been fabricated on bare ITO with high reproducibility. Solar power conversion efficiencies of 3% under white light have been demonstrated.

Impact/Results:

High efficiency solar cells and photodetectors that can be fabricated on light weight flexible substrates are in high demand. They can be used to power plastic chips and sensors. They can be integrated with light sources to develop high speed optical data links on silicon chips.
